In contrast to the nearby Vlieland, popular among the locals by its nickname Vlibiza, there are no nightclubs or discos, and only a few bars. However, you can enjoy long-lasting sunsets over a glass of Dutch beer after a day of wandering around the long and almost empty beaches on the island.
The 19th century villas are really pic - turesque and the local attraction is Brandaris – the oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands, built in 1594.
